Has anyone tried one under a valve amp? I'm thinking about trying one under my power amp in a bid to try and isolate transformer hum/vibration having an impact on other items on the rack i.e. the turntable and it may also have a beneficial impact on the valve amp. Any thoughts or am I barking up the wrong palm tree?

Any thoughts or am I barking up the wrong palm tree? there's cheaper ways of isolating an amo from its environment, not so much a speaker. Really I woud give 1000 to one odds that it's a non-issue but washing machine feet under the amp will give peace of mind for a fiver.

There are loads of them out there and they are all different, I have two different types one of which is an even gloss black. You can sit them under bookshelf speakers or other equipment and they look like feet that came with the unit. I use them under my TV speakers since they effectively sit on a board over a brick walled void, they are effective at curing the boom/resonance. Also have them under CD transport and pre-amp. I don't think for a second they make any real difference to the sound quality of either unit, but they do separate the units for cooling purposes and their stiction stops the preamp from moving about. I suppose they could be used under a TT but there's more sophisticated solutions required there because vibration really matters with a TT. I suppose putting 3 or 4 under a board and sitting the TT atop that would be better than nothing. And cheap.

Inner tubes. The ultimate in cheapskate isolation and probably work just as well as the expensive trinkets

Just installed my new to me bars.
I’m very pleased with the improvements. All instruments are sounding more like they are playing together, yet distinct. Listening to Child in time, Deep Purple atm and you really get the sense of how much of a jazz track it is.
Improved sound stage and 3 dimensional elements to the sound. More control and definition. Most importantly allowing me to enjoy the music even more.
Found them a bit of a bugger to install on carpet but a cut up plastic bag under each encouraged them to slip into place.
Thinking a little more it is really like having the same speakers but upgraded in every way. Much like when I built upgraded cross overs for them. As much of an improvement as the xo? It’s close and the second hand bars were considerable less cost!

I want the least amount of vibration getting into my TT.
The whole idea was to try a power amplifier on one of the platforms to further stop vibration getting to my TT.
My TT already sits on top of a Seismic platform and to my ears make a decent enough improvement and I suppose isolates the TT from any hifi rack vibration that might be dumped into it from the pre/power amp combo and my phonostage.
So, would I get further improvement by isolating the power amp in a bid to dump less vibration into the hifi rack? I've improved the damping factor of the shelfs in the rack by going from MDF to Bamboo, the only way to improve further would be permali or panzerholz!

putting the TT on its own rack would be a solution, would consume space though. Or a wall shelf although I don't like them personally. Don't really want a TT close to a boundary.

I was wondering if anyone had tried them under a turntable. If it is transformer hum, for example, not coming through the speakers, try a DC Blocker. There are a number available that you can choose from. I use the IFI model, which works well for me. DG…
