Thought this company had disappeared, but it’s now a kinda supermarket that majors on ‘B’ grade stuff.
I was looking to upgrade my A/V amp (no groaning) I’ve had my Marantz NR for years and it will only do 1080p. So looking around, giving my requirements, including pre outs for front speakers and future proofing to 8k, the nearest I could come up with was a Marantz NR 1711 but at around £700 a bit more than I wanted to spend. Enter Hyperfi £499 plus delivery, now that’s better. Ordered expecting delivery tomorrow.
So my stereo sources play through pre amp, power amp to speakers, no A/V amp connection.
A/V cinema outputs L/R front through pre amp, power amp etc. Oh and high level Sub connection. Centre and rear speakers fed by A/V amp.
So separate systems.
All this started some weeks ago with me breaking old television, and buying a better one that does 4K.
In preparation for the new install thought I would upgrade power supplies LPS to Router, LPS to Ethernet switch, LPS to Streamer, already had LPS to DAC and Phono Stage.
