Real bargain. I know you loved your time with yours. Look to be in good shape too. And that was the next town over from me, 20 min drive. Oh well...

Crazy cheap. They were my 2nd speakers - loved them... After that my world went DIY You clearly know your speakers too, as we see and have heard testimonial of. I was shocked at how good they were for such a reasonably priced hifi speaker - £578 black; £648 rosewood/oak - August 1997. Mine we're bought used and I paid £150 for a minty pair, from a guy up in the City somewhere, He brought them out of a room, into the hall way for me to check over, with a pure white pair of cotton gloves on, so as not to mark them - I knew I'd done good. That Aerogel mid-bass driver is a gem, very organic sound, detailed, lovely and natural in the mids, very non fatiguing and excellent stereo imaging. Bass wasnt what you'd call hard hitting deep, but fine and punchy. No matter what upgrade my heavily modded SL11210 mk5g and system went through, they just got better. Had to spend a whole load more to better them, with the Spendor D7s I have. You can build a genuinely sweet little set-up, around those 752 Freedoms. I've always thought the £100-150 they tend to go for to be serious little bargain money but £59 is shocking - daft, bargain, giveaway for what they in reality are and do. www.gramophone.co.uk/features/article/review-mission-752-freedom-loudspeakerwww.audioreview.com/product/speakers/floorstanding-speakers/mission/752-freedom.html

I was about 17 or 18 years old and remember the day I drove to Huntingdon to collect my 752s. I worked in the Hifi department of an electrical store so got mine for trade price - less than £300 new! It was a hell of a speaker for our badly sound insulated 1970s semi. My mum looked concerned as I dragged the massive boxes up the stairs! She knews what a cacophony was about to ensue! 🤣
I connected the beasts to by Rotel RCD 965 cd player and Rotel RC/RB960 pre and power amps. It was a mind blowing experience back then! My system now is way better, but does it give me more joy - probably not. Listening to Roxette - Look Sharp (embarrassing pleasures from the 90s!) at ear piecing levels was the best and mum hated me!
Day two of ownership was very sad.... My 8 year old brother had discovered the tweeters! 😭😭😭. The majestic metal domes were now crumpled craters! My mum was less sad as music went on hold for a few weeks while Mission sent the replacement domes.
The 752s came with me through my University years and were eventually replaced by the Wilmslow Audio Geminis... That is another story!
