Beautiful and rare - Sansui Au a707DR Integrated amplifier. Has been my pride and joy for the past four years and if I could run two set-ups this would be going nowhere. Unfortunaely I cant and need to recoup what I've spent on the Plinius 9200, that has replaced it. Sound is excellent in my view, balanced and detailed, non fatiguing, not hyper but properly analogue. It's brought me a lot of musical pleasure. Very very rare genuine 230v UK version - I'm led to believe that there were literally less than a handful made and shipped here - most being 100v for Japan, US market and 220v for Europe. Has been cherished and kept in near minty order - a beautiful chunk of an amp. Solid build weighing in at nearly 23kgs. Alan-Firebottle, looked it over in 2020 and also fitted some modern fets in the phono input stage. It also had a service in June this year, which included mute switch and speaker relay switch repairs. Amp is in perfect working order. Also on Ebay - 15 watchers (tyre kickers) £900 - PayPal, friend, family, gift Local pickup London area - I do have the original box, polystyrene, and would be double boxed if courier required. Specifications Power output: 130 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo) Frequency response: 1Hz to 200kHz Total harmonic distortion: 0.003% Damping factor: 150 Input sensitivity: 0.3mV (MC), 2.5mV (MM), 150mV (line) Signal to noise ratio: 70dB (MC), 88dB (MM), 110dB (line) Output: 150mV (line) Speaker load impedance: 4Ω to 16Ω Dimensions: 460 x 163 x 450mm Weight: 22.5kg Year: 1990 257 by

There could be a few tears when this one departs Trust me Antonio, you know I have loved this amp but I'm unable to keep and run two set ups sadly, and need to recoup funds I spent on the Plinius 9200.

Blimey, what you got planned for replacement? I bagged a Plnius 9200 and it is great - does everything the big Sansui does, but some things a bit better, particularly the 200wpc @ 8ohms power, you notice the efforless delivery, not that the Sansui is a slouch at all, at 130 wpc @8ohms.

I fully understand Robbie, we've all been there. I just know how much you thought of the Sansui, hope it goes to a good home.

Glad to hear your system is progressing. Sansui is great but greater things exist out there.

Currently 22 watchers on eBay so a lot of audio folk clearly know what this is and want, BUT, and like a lot of us, either not got the dough, or holding onto what they have, with the current climate as is

Hang on in there Robbie, some albums I thought were not going to sell, even though I had plenty of watchers, then out of the blue, sold.

Hang on in there Robbie, some albums I thought were not going to sell, even though I had plenty of watchers, then out of the blue, sold. Yeah, just got to be patient. True, a lot of people will be tightening their belts, but one way to look at it, folk may go out less, but then want to make staying home more enjoyable... GLWS

Well done Rob. Really pleased for you and the new owner. Thanks Olster, much appreciated. The new owner has bagged a lovely amp which I have thoroughly enjoyed. He has made payment and super keen to collect. He knows he's bagged a good one, very much into vintage amps he says.
