I don't believe living like a hermit is a good thing. I still went out with friends 2 or 3 times a week, taking my better half out for a meal. I don't like staying in watching tv/listening to music 7 days per week.

Should have added I'm not stinking rich anymore due to bad investments/financial crash 2008.

Retired 11 years ago, but times are difficult now, staying with my brother until I can get something sorted, luckily he's minted. I don't understand Bitcoins.

I’ve dabbled a couple of times since, but it only reminded me of why I wanted out of the rat race in the first place. I will do something again at some point but what and when aren’t clear right now. One day I will wake up and do something spontaneous. I’ve always been that way.

being rich wont make your life more happier though. having no debts is the key imho..once you're debt free and still working then you've cracked it.
big house big car
wont make your life better..more comfy ofc but not better..a house is a house..car is a car..
be nice to live in the sun..open your sliding doors onto the ocean each morning and not have to work to support that lifestyle..if you can do that then you've cracked it

He commented that it would be like a pylon to the locals. He was dead right. We lived in Kos for a year, with the best view of Kamari bay you could have. Abramovic moors his boat there every summer and he can choose anywhere in the world. First 3 weeks I felt like I’d reached heaven. After 3 months I didn’t even look at the view. If I went back now, it would be heaven again. I have sea and sunset views here. It’s not Kamari bay, but still very pretty. Last time I even looked was probably 6 months ago. For some reason seeing the lights on the mountain at night and seeing the stars without light pollution does more for me. Also walking through the landscape taking in all the natural beauty. I think it’s because there’s more variety. Seeing the same view, no matter how good, soon gets old though.

Charity begins @ home Hucker, I don't give me cash away to any Tom, Dick or Harry and I most certainly wouldn't give it away to any Tyrone, Jamal or Winston.

I once gave my old robes of shame (Boiler Suit) to a wee coloured rascal when I left Abu-Dahbi, so delighted at my generosity was he I honestly thought the cove was going to faint.
I checked the pockets first though...😁

I still keep looking at properties in the Western Isles. It’s where my dad was born and where I expected to end up. A big step though, even for an impulsive sort like me. One of those “no going back” moments. Been looking again tonight......and getting interested again.

i would love to be bill gates rich i'de carry like a million quid around with me at all times and throw it at the dreggs of society beggars outside stores i'de like empty 100k into their collection boxes then see their reaction. i'de also destroy the people that have hurt me over the years. buy up the companies they work for then fire them..build houses round them then hand the keys over to jeremy kyle scum. if u had enough money you could ruin people quite easily

The rest would go straight to the animal charities. I’d be glad to be shot of what I didn’t need.
