We are now down to the last 4, Higgins v Wilson and Williams v Hawkins. There has been some fantastic snooker played as always, with Trump in particular unlucky not to get through to the semi's having been beaten by Higgins 13-12, the best match so far in these championships.

Who are you supporting and who do you think will win?
I'd like to see John Higgins go all the way, but I'd probably bet on Mark Williams.

I'm not really supporting anyone, and do not mind who wins, although it would be nice to see a new winner. My head says Higgins will win it.

I’m a big Ronnie O’Sullivan fan and find myself losing interest once he’s out, so not really supporting anyone currently.

The final starts today, Higgins v Williams (combined age 85yrs). Both players will be mentally tired after two gruelling semi-finals, but lets hope they put on a good show.

For me, this was the only final I wanted to see, given the semi finalists we had. Heart = Highins, Head says Williams. Honestly though, I just want a classic final and I think we will get one.

Well we did get one Westie, Steve Davis described it as the "The best final ever". Williams always had a lead after going 4-0 ups but Higgins kept coming back at him eventually tying at 15-15. With the score at 17-15 Williams missed an easy pink to win the match, only for Higgins to clear up. William then got a chance in the next, and under tremendous pressure produced a match winning break. Congratulations then to Williams, although I did feel very sorry for Higgins, especially since he lost in last years final.

Brings back memories of yesteryear. Credit to both guys and a pity someone had to lose.
