Isn’t that a bit silly. How good actually are they?

Unbelievable price, not the first one I've seen for these original Rogers speakers. Surely the newer versions must be superior in sq, and save you £13k

It's a Collector Thing.
It doesn't have to make sense.

Nice price! I have a lovely near minty LS3/5A pair with a Sterling badge. I wonder if the seller would like to grab a bargain? I'm happy to let them go for say £5k (ovno). If need be I can throw in high end links as well as personalised free delivery. Happy also to throw in a vgc amp.

one photo, doesn't even show the cabs, sold as spares or repairs, fifteen grand? Even the people who collect these things aren't that daft. They are a pleasant sounding speaker but they're not hi-fi speakers. Great if you don't want high fidelity or if you want to monitor speech from inside a van.

"not hifi speakers" I must admit I laughed out loud at that one. You are a lad macca. I agree that they are not hifi speakers. They're music speakers!! Mate them with a decent small sub and they are excellent. I had that sort of setup for a while and was surprised and impressed. But, no, not anywhere near £15k's worth. Decent value at a grand or so for a well sorted pair on the used market imo.

They are not hi-fidelity since they are far too compromised in a number of areas to be able to make the best of most recordings and you can buy a speaker like that for a lot less money new or used. Like I said they are a pleasant listen and we don't always want the recording dissected and laid bare in front of us as a high fidelity speaker will do. It wasn't meant as a put down.
