Save yourself the trouble.
Loads of matched pairs for sale from reputable sellers for that price. If it's only a slight mis-match it probably won't make much difference, although could be more prominent in a single ended application (which yours is).
I'm just assuming that logically by the way.
Or do you specifically want some TAD's?
(Understandable, the ones I've heard are all very good).
Sylvania 6L6 were the best for me though, by an absolute country mile. Tried a few.

Thanks for that, it was a question based on using in a different amplifier than the one I own. I already have matched pairs of 6L6's, EL34's and 5881's all TAD's

I already have matched pairs of 6L6's, EL34's and 5881's all TAD's Ah okay, in that case it may depend more on the amplifier as to how well matched the valves 'should' be. The TAD's are about the best of non NOS valves from what I've found, those and Gold Lion's where available. I'm sure someone with more knowledge can give you a more specific answer Dave.
