What do you guys use for inner and outer sleeves? I've been using these inners and these outers for a while and satisfied with them. But I was wondering (dangerous exercise!) if there is something better and ideally cheaper. Currently going through a big batch vinyl cleaning (>300 albums), most albums not super rare or expensive so I don't think stuff like MOFI is justified. Just stick with what I'm happy with?

Mofi for inners, I just leave the shop outers on and slit them up the opening.

No shop outers. I have a few dozen NOS which do come with decent outers. I kept those sealed for a good 15 or so years thinking they would appreciate. But prices for M and NM are relatively low (£10-£15 range) so simply breaking these out and enjoying them.

I don't bother with outers, but for inners I go for spin are ones as the price is fair. Regular opaque ones for regular records or charity shop finds and their Mofi style ones for my special purchases if not already included.

Cheers John Yes that makes sense to have better MOFI ones for the higher quality albums. Charity shop finds? It is rare to find anything worthwhile buying these days (unless you love Val Doonican or Max Bygraves ). Seems like the dealers get there first - or more likely most people now call in the dealers if they want to get rid of stock.

Popped to my usual one today for some books and also grabbed steely Dan, the royal scam £2 (cover EX, disc NM). Last year I picked up The Beautiful South, Carry on up the charts, NM for £2 discos said £56 - £135, BARGAIN! 😁.The guy who runs the record/hifi area is an ex hifi dealer (shop in Chichester) when he gets the records in he automatically bins the Mrs Mills etc and doesn't put the good stuff out til after the dealers have done their rounds for the day. If not sold by the next day then dealers can have, often grab 4+ records in good nick.

I occasionally go over to Chichester, def worth a visit.

Give me a shout if you know you coming over as am usually about so could put the kettle on and run some tunes. Place I use is St Wilfred hospice furniture outlet. (if heading east on A27) its the 2nd exit of 1st (largest roundabout) as you hit the Chichester bypass, follow it down through industrial estate, outlet is on right Near Jewsons.

I use/used Nagaoka inners mostly but also some of the unbranded ones, not really any different.
The only ones I avoided are those round ones. Really hard to get the record back in. Any second hand records I bought with one of those it went straight in the bin.
