circa 1985 i got one of these..pioneer ghetto blasters were hard to find boy did it sound awesome

do you remember having one of those tiny tape recorders and then taping the top 40 by putting the mic close to the radio speaker..ya mum always ended up on the tape..mum be quiet i'm reording
then years later having something like those ghetto blasters being able to record direct from the radio was just marvelous

circa 1979 i remember some kid bringing this one i think to school huge jvc it was i used to dream about owning it...same time i wanted a seiko digital watch..i managed to save 105 quid to buy that watch in 1979..105 quid back then is like over 1k now

Great idea for a thread, I had about half a dozen of them. Always Sony or Hitachi. The two biggest were the Hitachi 3D Super woofer jobs, I seem to recall liking a Sony better though.

twin tape decks with high speed dubbing ..oh the things wet dreams were made of as a kid and loving music.. used to eat batteries mind..
