I have just done something I rarely if ever do, I cannot remember the last time . I have purchased an amp ( or in this case a pair of Monoblocs ) without hearing them with my own gear . The reason is I was told wonderful things about these amps with Beauhorn speaker at a show many moons ago . They are 6-7 watt ( maybe less and are SETs ) so are I know I have gone down a culdesac and will have to make a decision at some point about the Croft Series 7 ( that I had power upgraded to 100 W when I now need about 3 ) The other option was to go the Decaware route but because I don’t have a lot of money and can finance the purchase from selling a few bits went the VRR route. The amps are a bit cosmetically challenged and there is a slight hum issue so some further work will be required .
Does anybody know much about the VRR company, ever owned the ikon amps . The guy behind them was a David Wright who went on to make some serious stuff. Or was at the hi fi show where they were playing with the big Beauhorns ( Virtuosos?) and heard them? Mine are the smaller Rhapsody B2.3 with ATL driver .
