No, that's simply stupid. You need a waterfall instead, far more power.......

Well you know what to do now next time your Krell gives up the ghost. Don't know whether I would like to power wash any of my eqipment, and then put in the oven at 170 degrees, surely that's a bit much for 90mins.

I know but he shows it still works afterwards. I thought it would blast connections loose and so forth but it didn't.

170 degrees.... the caps..
Compressed air and a couple of days in a warm room.
I've washed that Krell ksa 200 i rebuilt, carefully with a trimmed toothbrush, then rinsed with isopropyl, compressed air and left to dry. But I removed the relay boards first.

Chicken 170 degrees cannot do it much good going by how hot a baking tray comes out of the oven.

I use ultrasonic cleaners to remove the crud, after use of an air gun and soft brushes. The new cap temp's are 135-150C due to the enclosed spaces for the big motor drives on EV's

Seem to remember the BBC TV weather forecast gave temperatures in both Fahrenheit and Centigrade up until the mid 1980s. I had to 'learn' Centigrade when that stopped. Although for years I would just convert in my head.
Still have to do that with centimetres and metres, I can't visualise them like I can with feet and inches.

I'm of the generation that does both imperial and metric.... except in weight. Lbs and oz mean nothing to me.

I occasionally wind up the youngsters when they come in the shop. Instead of telling them the price is £1.50 I tell them its 30 Bob, they look at me as if I'm talking Martian. 🤣🤣
