By the time you've sold everything off you'll have nearly paid for the 3400, great upgrading. I'd have been interested in the Lindermann Bridge had I not recently purchased the Aries.

What model is the Ortofon VMS? I always thought it was just a generic 'VMS' body. But if there are different flavours then I'm not 100% sure as I got it second hand from someone. I can share some photos if you're interested and that would enable you to identify it? |

Yeah it pains me to sell the NJCs as they're cracking little bits of kit and such a lovely company to deal with. I swore I'd always keep them 'just in case' as I'm bound to regret selling them at some point down the road, but I can't justify it now i've spanked out on the 3400. |

A&R P77 are brilliant MM cartridges and easy to tweak (Jilco used to do alternative stylus for them)
Is it the gold or black body as the black body is the one to go for?

The body is part black plastic and part gold coloured metal. Is the black body the magnesium? I do like the P77 and part of me wants to keep it, but I just don’t need all these cartridges. I had a play with them all but ultimately I can only listen to one cartridge at a time and I’ve got my Cadenza Black with 2M Black in reserve and ATVM95ML in case of any risky records or users. |

I currently have 2 black (Mg) bodies and 3 gold std bodies + 2 P77 & 1 E77.
Also have a P77 that beeds a retip as stylus went walkies. Have also managed to source a stylus guard, + std box d case and an Mg plastic box.
Love the P77 sound so use it in my 2nd system on a planar 3/R200 into 80s Cambridge C50/A50 and Kef 104ab.

Yep - the black is the magnesium and the better one. I used to have about 5 of them but gave a few away years ago - doh One of them was re-tipped by ESCo some years ago and sounded extremely nice but as mentioned I know some people have used Jilco cantilevers in the P77 bodies with very good results. |

I'm going great guns here. 3 things already sold (or at least agreed). Still some choice items there though! The Lindemann Limetree Bridge streamer and the Acoustic Energey Reference 1 speakers in particular.
Those speakers are just the most stupid bargain for they prices they currently sell for. I've always had an Acoustic Energy itch that needed to be scratched so I bought these on a whim and baked them off against my Special 40s. They were great. I could happily live with them, but in the end the S40s shaded it. It was a really close run thing though, so for £550 (which is exactly what I paid for them by the way) it's just a ridiculous amount of speaker for your money.

The TDAI-2170 is available if anyone is interested. Looking for £1,850. It comes with the optional HQ analogue and 4K HDMI boards. Boxed with original accessories. Perfect working order and condition. The only slight things to note are 1) it was supplied with a euro mains cable for some reason (if it really makes a difference I can supply a UK one upon request) and 2) the thread has worn out on the clamp which holds the boom arm on the microphone stand, so that needs repair/improvisation in order to be used.

The NJC Audio Phono Preamp and SUT that i bought from Dan arrived on Saturday. Superbly packaged and everything in absolutely tip top condition.
Can't wait to connect it all up tonight and hear how they perform. My thanks to you Dan for the communication and very quick delivery.

Bump - I had a good night tonight and managed to sell the amp, streamer and speakers as a package to someone on AV Forums.
So it’s just the headphone amp and cartridges available now.
