I've got a couple of pairs I probably don't need any more. 55cm tip2tip and 105cm ditto. Mmm, pricing is tricky as they are akin to rocking horse poo.

Curious as to why you sought out that particular cable though? From what i can find, they are OFC, braid and foil screen and pretty standard Cross sectional conductor. Do you use them already?

There's magic in them thar Atratus3 cables. Nothing special about them technically, I understand. I think it's the Magic Floobie Dust. They sprinkled it on part way through the construction. It makes all the difference.

Yep! they came into my radar some years back so I took a punt and very very glad I did - Been using them since 2016 on my cdp, but as you know I'm a complete vinyl addict, so as good as the Pioneer PD91 is, it never gets a look in. I moved the Atratus lll to the phono stage and same fab results, don't know why, as you guys say the construction is simple, but man they are great - textured sound with body, detailed, natural, excellent timbre/texture of vocals and instruments. I want to preserve my Cadena Black-FGS so it lasts as long as pos' so I've decided to utilise the PD91, hence wanting another set of the Atratus lll

It will last ages if you don’t use it, but where is the fun/pleasure in that?

Exactly, obviously, indeed... hence, I'll continue to use it plenty - cant resist it / vinyl, but I'll occasionally give the PD 91 cdp a look in too now that I have the interconnects, which it does sound excellent through and I've some damn good cd's, I really enjoy.

I think the base cable is made by Yarbo Audio. The SP-6802TC, which appears to be an OCC conductor?

Wow, I'll bet you didn't expect that Robbie, makes you wonder what else Jerry's got stashed away. I've never heard this interconnect although read good reports about it, but I think the same as Bigman, a little surprised a set of OCC, or Triple C might have been tried with all the talk on here. I don't blame you wanting to use your cdp, it's a good one by all accounts, if it saves a little usage on your cartridge all well and good. Hate to remind you vinyl users with expensive cartridges how much it costs you to drop the needle for 2-3 hrs

I'm sorry, but that's the truth Robbie, and it's not every time you want some music, it has to be a serious listening session, enjoy your cd's.

On the contrary Dave, for me it is always serious, as in I'm a conscious/sub conscious critical listener, I listen and savour, therefore it has to sound right to my ears, through my system, whether vinyl or cd / cdp otherwise I cant indulge/enjoy. ( Of course if I'm out elsewhere, somewhere, I don't really care, it really doesn't matter that much then )

Well for me, if I'm doing the cleaning or any little job, my concentration is not that good and I'm happy to have the music just playing in the background.

Jobs and stuff: radio on or maybe some CDs playing in the background. Vinyl is for the more serious listening.

Hate to remind you vinyl users with expensive cartridges how much it costs you to drop the needle for 2-3 hrs Yeah some cables/IC's just work in certain positions within your system. Doesn't have to be a technical explanation for or against it, if it sounds better it's the right cable for the job. I have to say though that Triple C has decimated all, in ALL positions so far though. I am using an OCC/OFC 'hybrid' cable with very high capacitance for one run (between volume pot and input on main board) in my preamp at the moment, it should sound inferior to silver/OCC etc but in my system it brings some dramatic dynamic swings and killer bass. I've tried it in other places and it's too much and things get mushy and slow but in this position there's nothing better . . . . although I must admit I haven't tried the Triple C in there . . . . damn, now I've just found a new itch to scratch . . .
