My brother has found two brand new Gold Lion tubes in a drawer and since my amplifier needs 4 how important is it to have a matched quad when after all they are biased? Just seen these on ebay, and although not brand new, he says not many hours on them, would they be worth buying to make up a quad www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275041067065?hash=item4009b9a039:g:awIAAOSw8HJhn5VROnly 4 hrs left, but of course they may not sell

I wouldn't think it would make too much difference, but if your a bit OCD like me on these things then I would share the pairs out. By this I mean put the ebay pair in the two central positions and your brother pair in the two outer locations, or visa versa. That way both channels are getting one of each and are therefore sort of matched but by resources rather than actual measurement.
