Very nice work Chris. Those Viablue RCAs look nice. How do you like them. Are the soldering lugs similar to the Aeco plugs?

Nice work Chris. How do you like those Viablue RCAs. Are the soldering lugs similar to the Aeco plugs? Thanks Brian, They're quite a lot thinner and flatter for the outside (shield). I actually drilled a larger diameter hole in them (from about 1-2mm) so as to route the negative/shield through it before soldering. For the positive main connection they're probably easier than the AECO's really. They're a little flimsy to be honest but if you're careful they're fine. £35 for 4 is okay I think although they're not pure copper, they're not too bad. I'd probably pay the extra for pure copper ones But i really liked the look of them too!

Thanks Chris, maybe worth a try. They certainly look the part. Yeah I was slightly swayed by having matching RCA and XLR cables but you could do worse. However these are about the best I've stumbled across yet.... a.aliexpress.com/_vYOccOThe gold ones, these are proper.

Yup I have a set connected to the much talked about "Triple C" cable. It's really elevated things a few levels, the hype it seems, is real.... and justified

They look very nice too and with a 12mm cable entry they will take some pretty large diameter cables.

I'm not 100% sure on those ones Dave, although I know the Xangsane brand are honest in most of their 'descriptions'. These ones I can verify are indeed copper. a.aliexpress.com/_vVVk3yThe ones you linked to just look a tad 'cheap' if you know what I mean, they're probably fine too but I've just got a feeling...

The ones I linked to (Monosaudio ones):
- Have minimal material and what is there is copper
- allow big cable diameters to be used
- are not hard to solder
- allow decent strain relief
These are the factors that define a decent plug for me

Possibly not Dave, the shield looks very thick with a lot of insulation too. Have you got a diameter for that beast?

Some plugs can also be successfully modified (cut) down if the have tapered ends for an additional 2-3mm maybe....

So can some cables.
Outside diameter for that cable is 9.2mm BTW.

It says 9.2mm on the ad, I don't think that's far off.

Yes very good interconnects but very expensive as I terminated them with these www.hificollective.co.uk/phono_plugs/innovations-absolute-harmony-plug.htmlBuilt for a couple of friends. One of them recently asked me for a price for a 2m set of interconnects using the same cable and plugs. He got a bit of a shock when I gave him a quote You can't really use this cable in lengths under 1m as it's far too stiff.

Wow, the plugs guarantee quality though and I'm sure the neotech cable is great too..... However I know it's a bit broken record on here at the moment but I would implore anyone to try the TripleC stuff, it's just a new reference.....
