Good grief, you have been busy! Plugs look like the MPS ones I use. Fingers crossed that they work for you. They have taken over here, and that meant removing the Spotfire cables that I rated extremely highly.

So these are good, very good.
Depressingly good in fact.
What's not good (financially) is the obligatory cable upgrades to follow.....

Has anybody tried the Furutech PC Triple C cable?
And isn’t PC Triple C (Pure Copper-Continuous Crystal Construction) just another name for OCC?

From what i read, and now cannot bloody find, OCC, even though it is single crystal still has some grain boundaries within the sigle crystal. The PC-Triple C is folded many times to make sure all the grain goes in the same direction. The information i found before likened it to the forging of the steel used in samurai swords. Making sure all the grain in the steel went the right way by folding the steel ensured the steel was as hard as possible. The PC-Triple C page i read had cross section illustrations which showed the impact it has on the grain orientation. Truth is, its bloody good stuff. For me to overhaul my whole system with it, refuse to sell Spotfire cables anymore while this stuff is available and to recommend it to anyone who'll listen says it all AFAIC. I love the stuff and it will be in my 686 & BT2 as soon as i get a bit more here.

It was an Acoustic Revive webpage I read it on originally, which doesn't seem to be on their site now.

I am not disputing that PC Triple C is not better, but for the price/performance, I may stick with what I have. The Silver OCC cable with Aeco pure silver plugs works very well.

It’s expensive. Makes the SAEC look cheap.

I was impressed with the improvement in sound when it replaced a quality reference cable. I was pretty sceptical, but it sounds great, like changing the ECC83 in the BB3 from standard to TFK, that sort of level of improvement.

So I am going to ask a question here that may risk in my appearing a bit simple.... but, what might be the difference in the Triple C wire in the Furutech and the Triple C wire in the SEAC?

It’s expensive. Makes the SAEC look cheap. Yeah, and I've never been convinced by silver....maybe I'll not bother lol Now ...triple C silver.......that would be interesting Although PC-TRIPLE C/EX does exist.

Not convinced by the best conductor? No. It's just never sounded right to me I was wrong earlier btw, I did try an OCC silver cable with pure silver plugs on. I didn't like it, nor did the fella who bought it. I'd forgotten about it until just. He brought it round to check it was not faulty. Oh! I also have tried two Yannis cables. Both OCC Silver and a Tonearm cable that our very own robbiegong sent up for repair. I believe it was the mega money one. Good grief ....... Yes...I remember all of those. No, for me Copper is best and the PC-TRIPLE C stuff is king. I'll keep my eyes open for a bargain silver cable though and revisit. Just for experimentation.

Try the pure silver with a digital cable first Oli I'd like to see what effect happens on analogue and digital, so a pair of ICs makes more sense to me?
