Saw this earlier and I love the idea of an Aluminium block under some veneered Panzer yep i like the look of that too, i'd do silver sp10 tt body on black panzer on brushed aluminium sub plinth. hmmm you've got me thinking! Yeah, it would look TASTY with a black Panzer plinth. Get your thinking cap on as I might want one too 😜

So I had to relocate them to fit. Now I’ve moved it into the basement the glass top of the rack is wide enough… but I haven’t got round to moving them again. One reasonable excuse is that it sounds bloody great. Still looks a tad odd though.

You need to finish it in gloss white. With chamfered edges. That would look stunning.

Oli I'd just sandwich it between the two. A decent sheet of 3M pressure adhesive tape or sikaflex 11fc and plenty of masking tape.

Might be worth putting a layer of acoustic mat between the PH & Ali layers.

Didn't take long, usually these things take weeks/months and at least 100 progress update posts.

How does this compare with your Sony 6750? I am asking as there is a PS-6750 for a good price on eBay.

made a start on the plinth for the sp10 yesterday, out with my veneer press to laminate the 25mm panzerholz to the 38mm chipboard, yes i know controversial and im sure the arm chair experts will be crapping their pants but if its good enough for the yamaha gt2000 then im sure it will be fine here. west expoxy system was use to bond the panzer to the chipboard, normal adhesives are out due to the resin content of the panzerholz.
left in the press overnight and now i have this.
im undecided on the final thickness at the moment,i need to draw it to scale and see .
