So i picked this up yesterday,it came with a working spare sp10 a slatedeck plinth and an rega rb250 tonearm. Its in lovely condition and judging by the bearing/spindle condition has not been used much. I am looking forward to how it compares to my Sony TTS-8000.

What's to be said that hasn't already been said about these great pro' decks ?
I wont ever change mine EXCCEPT if the urge ever took over, coupled with funds permitting, and then it would only be for another / the newer one, as in the SP10R

Those square edges of the SP10 are hard to ignore when making a plinth, I would have thought! The rounded edges on the TTS matched the motor unit very nicely. As for the SP10, Mother of pearl inlay??? Gold leaf? |

I have seen a few builds where they just used the motor unit and not the rest of the metal plate.
Not too easy but opens up so many options for the build!
