Thanks Phil, I've been running them for a few days now between streamer > Behringer DEQ2496 > Mutec > DAC and they have improved things without question. I have the same cable but with even better (Monosaudio pure copper) connectors on and I've been experimenting with them in different positions. The more expensive ones do sound a little better I think but clearly it's not night and day and these run them very close. Might be no difference at all of course as I probably couldn't really tell. Very happy with their price/performance ratio.

I'm feeling like you've caught the DIY bug Chris. That makes me happy, and it's lovely to see such tidy work! Well done sir!

Cheers Ol, been making cables for a while to be fair (saves an absolute packet!) but now they are just about worthy of actually being viewed by the public . . . haha. Need to get a better soldering iron though as I loaned my 'decent' one to my old man for his railway disease, I haven't seen it back in two years . . . .

I found a used Oki Metcal PS-900 for a steal, but Hakko FX-888D and Quick 3104 are both good bets.

You've made all the cables you need for now, if you spend £100+ will it be sitting in the cupboard for the next year or so doing nothing?

Oli has sweet-talked me into it (thoroughly against my will) . . . . but to be fair it's been pure upgrades with every inch added so far, I really mean that. The effect is very surprising.

It didn't take much convincing after you plumbed the first pair in 🤣

Better get another soldering station purchased then, you're going to be busy.
