Just a measley 60KG and 5'7" to haul up two flights of stairs.
Yes the deal came off, was like selling a house at the end of a chain and waiting to complete.....
Didn't count my chickens but now reaping the reward.

Didn't count my chickens but now reaping the reward. Fantastic result of some very well manouvered bartering. 👍 Glad I didn't have to shift them lol

Yep MLs are certainly something special. Love my recently acquired Summits. There's nowt like 400wpc active subs with 2x 10" cones, property integrated with a mid/treble panel.

Excellent, looks like a winning hybrid design. The rear drivers on mine cancel out any 100hz hump and help prevent the 50hz suck out which can occur with big speakers near corners. So far the do it extremely well. They do love some power too. Is that a jolida and MF preamp in your setup there? Also are they Firebottle monos? Nice kit btw, I know you had similar problems to me regarding Quads. I loved em to bits but not having the repair bill every couple of months. These Logan's are supposed to be a lot more sturdy and the panels, although not quite as detailed (and physically thin) as the Quads, can perform without deterioration even with a few holes and battle scars on them.

You've not done bad on spot the brand. MFA Baby Reference V1 Heavily pimped Mk1 Jolida Glass fx dac Nord One UP SE NC500M revC monos. And yes they LOVE power, my 90wpc MB845SEs were pretty underwhelming when I tried driving the Summits with them, the Nords however give 700w into 4 Ohm and 550 into 2. As for detailed, I now have greater detail than with the 989s with bass, punch, weight & richness now I have the subs dialled in, so it's been a win win for me.

The logans can produce some really nice holographic 'hear through' sounds, though they do require some room behind to the side ansd in front of them to really make them sing. Chris yes they do like some proper current to push them. Not some sheer watts but transient current respoance. Well done on your new purchase and for getting them up those stair my friend a serious effort there!

Chris yes they do like some proper currentto puch them. Not some sheer watts but transient current respoance. Well done on your new purchase and for getting them up those stair my friend a serious effort there! Yup, there's no denying they are a tad overwhelming for the room, both in stature and output. However part of my justification (haha) for bagging them was because there is a bass suck-out near the listening position. Controlled overloading of other parts of the room using subs yielded almost the bass response I was after. So logically using bigger speakers with bigger drivers should have the same effect....(I hoped). It does, and the cancellation effect from the rear drivers really cleans up the low end at the listening position. Are the speakers too big for the room? In all honesty yes, but with acoustic treatment there are no real nasties. Will comment more in my write-up but the room is flooded with sound, it's quite an effect. Luckily the panels are removable so I was "only" tasked with hauling 50kg cube shaped bases up the stairs.... What can I say, I'm a lightweight....

Could be an element of HUGENESS that you may not have had before too, so even though everything feels massive, if they are controllable, you'll get used to it.
