Read up on it since posting, and not sure it would be suitable in an open backed tv stand, although we are not interest in the surround sound, it would only be for vocals. These flat screen tv's have crap speakers.

I use one. It replaced a pretty good 5.1 surround system and holds its own surprisly well. Vocals and sound are good even though I have it on a middle shelf without enough space around it.

Thanks pauld, still thinking about which soundbar/box to get. I tried quite a few before I went for the Sky Soundbox, and honestly, for the (Sky subscriber) price, it can't be beaten, there is literally nothing in the same league. |
