I'm sure we all have them: times when we have heard something that has changed our perspective and direction. For me there have been a few.
Most dramatic was hearing a Voyd with Audio Innovations amp and Snell J and K. Mind blowing dynamics and still the best sound I've heard anywhere.
Others?
Nait and Kans with an LP12/Ittok was magical in its way too.
Townshend Glastonburys showed me just how distorted all other speakers are. So clean it's hard to believe.
Spica TC50s just gelled in a way unmatched and they also showed me what holographic sound is all about.
Anyone want to share their own pivotal moments?

I remember a Quad dem way back when Harrogate hosted the hifi show. Quad 57's and they were using an LP12 as the vinyl source. Never really had a room wide enough to accept Quad speakers.

I preferred the 57s to the 63s. Both needed raising up, I felt. Do some things very well. The Myst Tma3 was made to drive Quads. I'd like to hear mine do just that.
