What for the 7 pin? It's the Voltage regulator valve, so it's not necessary. The Teflon ones are for the signal stuff. No, PCB. |

Soldered in and looking good. Very pleased with these. All that's left is to install 2 LEDs and 4x Diodes, which I have....just not got to it yet.  |

This really does look like something very special. Well we're certainly putting as much quality into the board as we can, with the hope that we do justice to the circuit. Alan's prototype is rather good, but I haven't got it in my system yet to properly evaluate it. Measurements are telling us it is better than we thought it would be, but again, until we get the actual transformers into the box, the measurements are not reliable. Things will change .....either for the good or not. |

I decided that after Angus visited with his. Want to get the Avalon and BBu finished, get the MK8b tonearm in and then I'll be saving.....after refilling the dent in the bank made by the car. |

Get him to move that cap by the heatsink, I know they're meant to be on the legs but thermally 5mm will make a lot of difference.
Looking good though, needs a see through lid, for sure...

That reg isn't being worked hard, and it isn't as hot as the one on the BB3, so I am not too concerned. We are making a slight change to the layout so I could ask. I'll run it by Alan. |
