I picked up a subscription to tidal a few days ago, as according to Digibit the aria will integrate with Tidal. Worth a go for a month or so.
However, I cannot get the app to even bring up any mention of Tidal and even going in through the aria's internal devices seems to be impossible too.
I decided to download bubble upnp and see if i could get anything to play and to my surprise it worked. Awesome!
What i am now struggling to get my head around is this:
Am i streaming Tidal directly to the Aria, using the Bubble app as a remote?
or am i streaming Tidal to the aria from my phone over the network vi Bubble?
This may be a stupid question, but i genuinly have no idea WTF i am doing.

That doesn’t sound right. I would have thought tidal should be going straight to the streamer and then controlled by an app… ??

If you are using upnp then you have to use your phone (not had to use upnp for years so a bit rusty). Surely the Aria should support Tidal natively?

That's what I thought, but upon reading the blurb, it states via airplay.....seems not. Admittedly, I am not keen on streaming anyway, so will likely not renew and go back to owning the files.

I use streaming mainly to check an artist out - if I like then I check if they have the album on vinyl Some stuff you just can't get on vinyl so Tidal (or Spotify) will have to do....

If you want to be absolutely sure where the stream is coming from, turn off the phone. If the stream stops....

Ask Digibit how to intergrate Tidal into their machine
