I have a (fazor) pair.
Very capable. Smooth, forgiving, lush. Very slightly 'closed in' upper registers (the non fazor are reputedly much more so).
V heavy - will take a few weeks to suitably develop your neck muscles.
Pretty much the polar opposite to Grados - I have sr225e.

Did you both get Mike Tyson neck results? S. Sadly not but, still, better than my Mr. Blobby body results...

In a way I’m glad they weren’t anything special. Imagine having to make a choice to put up with all that weight or miss out. The Audioquest Nighthawk were similar tonally but not quite as good. If you’ve heard them you will get an idea of tonal balance though.

Bought a pair of pre fazors and HD700's to try, I kept the 700's. Savvypaul description of the sound is spot on, but will add a woolly bass, for me I preferred my PSB M4U1's.

No lcd2 but I have the lcd3f.
Which I preferred over the Grado ps1000 & Senn 800 series.
(As stated) Big heavy buggers though, but thats okay as Im usualy horizontal on my recliner whilst listening.

Should have asked this in the beginning. Are LCD-2 hard to drive?

Should have asked this in the beginning. Are LCD-2 hard to drive? S. The Grado 225e play at around 9 o'clock on my NVA AP10H. The Audeze LCD-2 are 12 to 1 o'clock for the same sort of volume.
