Clean the dead skin with nail trimmers, super glue over the nail, it'll be right by tea time.

A good clean and some neat whiskey over the top should sort that bugger out!

Oooh, made me cringe, me, I'd try and clean it, then antiseptic cream and a bandage/plaster at least for the first night.

Not quite as bad as the time I nearly took the top of mine off with an axe chopping kindling one frosty morning, only just hanging on through a bit of the nail, into the house to run it under the tap, water hit it and I hit the bottom of the bath, docs at hospital managed to sew it back on, it was hard and dead for months but eventually the nerves and feeling grew back.
That’s a scratch you’ve got there 😉😂

Not as bag as the time I caught mine in the knuckle joint in a sun lounger as I sat down on it... took the nail and half the tip clean off. Pretty rough age six...

Ouch! Bet that smarts.
Just over a month ago I was wiring up a mains wall socket and stripped back the cable coming out of the wall, with a VERY sharp Stanley knife. I had my left hand undeneath the wire to support it while I was strpping back the outer. The knife slid off the cable and across my middle and ring fingers, going right down to the bone. Blood was pouring out everywhere and ran to the kitchen tap, with my missus shouting at me to not get any blood on the carpet!!
Soaked through the plasters as soon as they were put on, so I went to chemist and bought some of those sticky strips to close the wounds up, which they did really well. Still have no feeling yet at the ends of my fingers.
