I'd spend £150 on a proper deck, second hand ofc and get amp and speakers for the other £50
Okay you won't get anything fancy for £50 but will still be better than what is in those bundles. Could probably get the speakers for nothing, seem people giving away decent vintage speakers like the old KEF Coda III for nothing as long as you can collect them.
One of those little Chinese chip amps would do for starters, seen them for £35 new.

I have a Denon AV amp with Phonostage that they can have mate. It's fine in stereo. Got remote too. Just postage 👍 |

Hi gents, you are top blokes and your advice and kind offers are very much appreciated. Having relayed back to my nephew, he says his mates girlfriend is definitely only after this type of deck and speakers combo as a gift for him and new (Also I don't think they 'get it' like we do  |

Any reasonable audio shop will have some speakers for 50 squids to get it up and running.
150 on a project or a rega.
No worries.
