This has just landed, but unfortunately it's DOA. Can't open the cassette draw and it won't play etc. What a shame

Beautiful. That is a shame. Is that why it's got a little orange sad face inside?

Have you released the Pause button? Then try it.

no electronics in the draw mech so once you get inside you might be able to see what the problem is and fix it.

Have you put a cassette into it? No cassette no sound (just checking you understand how these things work), π

See, this is what happens when you have shelves spare. Hahahaha......they aren't spare really, they are just awaiting me having some free time to build a proper preamp and a Phonostage.

No-one's asked why you've acquired a cassette deck to begin with. Even I've resisted that temptation. I mean what's next, acoustic gramophone? Sing-a-longs around the piano before the ladies withdraw for the evening? Have you got this on tape?

Sing-a-longs around the piano before the ladies withdraw for the evening? Have you got this on tape? I have a tape of significance to me. One that cant be bought or remade, so i wanted to get the contents off the tape and on to a digital file, so i have it in a format that wont degrade. This will do the job nicely i think, but this morning i was offered a loan of a superior unit to do the job, which i have gratefully accepted. Anyway, it looks cool and i love it lol No, don't have the Jethro tape....I have like 10 tapes lol.

Love it Oli. I love the VU meters. I have the Pioneer CT-F7171 to match my SA-8100 and TX8100. I donβt play it much but to be honest but to me it looks great in my rack sat below the other units.

Every so often I have a hankering to go back to tape, possibly a revox R2R but I always seem to get dragged back into doing TT's, usually modding, restoring, and if it's not a TT then it's a pair of old speakers, honestly, this audio addiction is weird!!
