Could also be a mindset by the listener/decidedly average i/v in the dac/amplifier impedance mismatch/bell wire for signal transfer/sub optimal speakers/bad listen environment or just maybe it being played on a low loss / highly appealing cost per note (musical) / over hyped play back system. Or you really do not like the music? Delete as appropriate |

No, it's deffo the jitter.
The room you see him in is just a stage set built in the corner of a large studio. Those analysers on the desk behind him? Paint on cardboard.

You Martin you could be right , looks like a loft apartment roof space, and Owon scope (okish), a BK dc load, and older an two channel AP analyzer?, can quite make out the lower of the boxes he is in the way all the time! Mind you he is watchable and passionate if possibly a touch misguided, but at least he is not loaded the dice before rolling  |

I love watching Hans. Yes, he may not be right all the time but he's passionate and I do believe that he is impartial.
There's a lot to be said for a neutral guy sharing opinions on hifi. He's a good egg, just not to be taken too seriously.

The audio gods have already made me mad, just waiting for them to destroy me now.
Don't dislike Hans and agree he is passionate which counts for a lot. But he is a mine of mis-information. I mean there are lot of these You-Tube characters now, like Fremer and Guttenberg, but at least Fremer is funny and can tell a good anecdote and Guttenberg seems very personable.
The difference between them and Hans is they don't pretend to know what they are talking about technically, with a pile of test kit on a table behind them to reinforce that impression. They just say whether they liked something or not.

Not often I find myself agreeing with Martin, however he observations are spot on, much like a Government, do you wish for a personal that can really do the job or a popular person who is persona populous.
Have yet to find a combination of the two in audio that DOESN'T have an agenda that doesn't have a chip on their shoulder, get back at a previous employer or commercial bias towards plugging products. Seriously tough call in UK audio (or USA)
Now here's a thought, Oli give up BBA and form his own audio critic review channel based around DIY and project kits, due to his straight nature and non political ambitions he would soon have significant numbers of subscribers. I can lend his some test kit to look the part, pretty sure we could design a slick backdrop.
Appoint Alan as chief guest iron twirler, with Martin as communication officer, Jim as head of Vinyl appreciation, Andrew (Rexton) as how to go down and rabbit hole and come back through a wormhole sonic dragon chaser (with clusters and stars) Music reviewers rotate each video, plus Tales from the lab bench an insider look at what's happening in audio currently. SQ (Simon) as conscientious objector . One last thing we need a Villain of the week award my vote would go to either Mr.P Miller or Mr. M Collums either one of these fellows are worthy permanent awardees.
One thing for sure it would have a BALANCE of virtues and so pretty straight line non BS reviews
