I plan on building my BB3, and making a few improvements to my Firebottle Kin, mainly with a SA from Acoustic Dimension.
I'll be ordering some Resistors and caps etc in the near future. We'll sort out your Kit when that happens.
2021 for me is basically going to be spent building the Avalon PCBs into my huge preamp case and getting everything together to build the final BB-AWM buffer preamp.
I'll also be sorting out my NS1000's. Stands and XO's are high on my priority list.
There will also be a BBU - Bigbottle Ultimate.
This will essentially be a Phonostage built to total perfection. Exact Resistor values in every position, exact capacitor values in every position and some rather special output caps. I also have BNIB and Still sealed Telefunken valves for each position.
This will be the reference to which all other BB3's will be compared to and measured against.
Other than that, I think I'll probably end up building a couple of Phonostages if the amount of enquiries I have received is anything to go by.
I'd really like to be able to get socialising again this year. I want to get round to Jim's and run the rule over his system now it's all bedded in and Alan and I are due a DAC bakeoff.
* A BB3 @ some stage. * Further mods to the Croft pre-amp. * New plinth design for my Garrard 301. * Fine tuning my cartridge. * Maybe some new speaker cables.
Good question. Depends on free time but (in no particular order). 1. Design case for my PI with 7inch touchscreen and IQAudio DAC+ board and print it on my 3D printer. 2. Sort out a better arm pod for the wooden 12 inch arm 3. Complete a Lenco GL75/GL78 TT build I started 10+ years ago. 4. Build a new preamp using some components I have lying around. 5. Build another TT using the spare Orbe platter I have lying around 6. Rebuild a pair of Heybrook HB1's I have stashed in the garage. 7. Design a music centre using spare PI and Lenco GL75 (for fun...) 8. Finish off the tangential tone arm I helped a bit with on the DIY forum 9. Using some spare valve poweramps I built in the early 90's see if I can build a nice pair of EL34 monoblocks 10. Finish off the rebuild of my 1972 VW camper van.
I wonder how many of the above will get done this year

Yes.. good question. Need to find a more robust streaming system. A dedicated streamer looks like way I’ll be going. On top of that I fancy another dac, but really would prefer to listen rather than buying blind. Could be tricky!

I'm using a 7" touchscreen but I find it a bit small and my finger can cover over two instructions if you know what I mean: I wondered if those touchscreen pens worked ok on these small screens

I have no issues (running at 800 x 600 or something around that) No, the pens don't work
