ok i have had probably 300 cartridges in me life..all been rubbish..ok when i worked for some high end dealer in london back in 2005 he really knew his stuff..he kept telling me to get a van den hul frog or mc1 special
one day i will get one just to see for myself..anyone on this fine forum ever used a vdh cartridge

I've used VDH retipped cartridges and some of them (a 'Podded' Decca Export comes to mind and a VDH tipped EMT model in the mid 80's) were staggeringly good. Not sure about the Goldring 12** series though away from a period Rega deck, but the Linn Adikt (a 1012GX in drag and double the price) sounds quite tame in comparison...

Not at all Dave, it’s interesting. I didn’t know the Adikt was a 1012in drag, FWIW if you have the cash, Rudi, you should try one, you’ve mentioned it for a long time. And you have a gorgeous SME V sat there waiting. It’s an itch you can scratch more dpsafely bu buying used though.
