I will kick it off. For 2020 my wife treated me to 3 new albums and a new turntable - God I am spoiled    OK - not really hifi (or any ..fi) but was funny when she told me what she had got me then I saw the size of the package....  Anyone else get any hifi related stuff? |

For Christmas the gaffer funded the purchase of the Novafidelity N15D, which I obviously had a little early and even though it's not quite HiFi, the soldering iron was a gift to myself. They say the best tools are the ones that make your life easier and the speed it gets up to temp certainly means I can spend less time in the cold! It's a fantastic bit of kit. Used it for the first time today. Still awaiting my CDs...The Stimulators - Secret Mission & JVDV - Gitaar Aan Veer. £20 for two used CDs!!! But, they aren't common and they didn't have them on HDtracks, so no choice really. The Wife also bought me a Samsung External DVD-RW drive for my laptop. I still archive photos via DVD as I like a hard copy but the concern now is that DVD is probably going to become obsolete and as such so will the playing equipment. I suppose I'll end up trying to keep two mahoosive HHDs up to date in the hopes they never fail. Fat chance.   |

My 686 was my Christmas present to myself. I also have a Boron Jico SAS on it's way to me for my EPC-205.

Not so much new, I did managed to finish off my JR 149 speakers. I'll probably end up with a BB3 and a pair of Monoblock 686's so these can be classified as belated!

Alan sorted my amp in time for the Christmas and then I've managed to dial my Fritz Gyger S tipped Cadenza Black in the sweetspot. The result is serious serious balance to the presentation, weight, dynamic, detail, music and zero fatigue - best Christmas present ever - It's been album after album all evening, it's going to be a very late night...... |

NAD M15 preamp, Hifiman HE-500 planar headphones, Arcam A85 integrated amp (I fancied trying the "Arcam Sound"), SUCA AUDIO Bluetooth headphone amp, Ixos Ixotica digital cable, Baseus power bank... all arrived over the Christmas period, so I look on them as Xmas prezzies to myself.
