Just wanted to say a massive thanks to Alan (Firebottle) My Pioneer SA-8100 started going into protection mode after a few years of no issues at all. I contacted Alan to ask if he would give it a going over checking everything for me. I also asked him while he had it apart to fit a new power cable Replacing the original thin vintage cable. He fitted a very nice length of LAT International AC-2, (itโs a bugger to fit in the plug but I got there eventually ) Anyway, Thank again Alan! 1st class service and Iโm very happy itโs been checked out ๐๐ป 601FCCA7-5841-4E25-85B2-12EBF077F333 by Nathan Rose, on Flickr CA7BB542-8359-4FA8-A998-B55E3AAFA6F2 by Nathan Rose, on Flickr

I'm a big fan, however most of my system isnt even fully finished or branded ๐๐ I need to get a shift on and sort out the aesthetic

I was going to try touching it up but thought Iโd only make it look worse so Iโve left it alone.

Proper amp from the days when things were built to last. Be interesting to see what percentage of the total sold are still 'on the road' today. I bet it is high.

Alan said it was in very good original condition. Just a wire loose or broken away from the phono plug. other than that I think he slightly adjusted a few of the outputs, thatโs all.

Very nice, really like those old Pioneer amps. Here is another golden oldie.

Love vintage Pioneer amps, I've still got my SA-7300 from 1973. A few less knobs and levers than yours, and 5 watts a channel less, but still sounds lovely

Lovely amp, a looker, wood finish and then checked over for a clean bill of health, the way to do it - excellent !
