Just wanted to say a massive thanks to Alan (Firebottle) My Pioneer SA-8100 started going into protection mode after a few years of no issues at all. I contacted Alan to ask if he would give it a going over checking everything for me. I also asked him while he had it apart to fit a new power cable Replacing the original thin vintage cable. I'm a big fan, however most of my system isnt even fully finished or branded 😂😂 I need to get a shift on and sort out the aesthetic |

I was going to try touching it up but thought I’d only make it look worse so I’ve left it alone. |

Proper amp from the days when things were built to last. Be interesting to see what percentage of the total sold are still 'on the road' today. I bet it is high.

Alan said it was in very good original condition. Just a wire loose or broken away from the phono plug. other than that I think he slightly adjusted a few of the outputs, that’s all. |

Love vintage Pioneer amps, I've still got my SA-7300 from 1973.
A few less knobs and levers than yours, and 5 watts a channel less, but still sounds lovely
