I don't pay 33%, nothing like. Even including national insurance I pay less than 25%.

Swedes pay a lot more tax throughout their working lives to pay for those pensions though. There's no free lunch. WRONG 33 percent income tax no council tax at all What’s the tax threshold in Sweden? I’m guessing itsBout 12k in the U.K.

no idea 33 percent income tax no ni contributions here..no council tax..same in the uk aint it with ni contributions.
we have no single scum mother culture here...it's not allowed..nursery is very very cheap and open from 6am to 6pm..100 quid a month is the max u pay...so paying slag girls that pump out kids to stay home doesnt happen here. long term unemployed dont happen here either.. u cant spend ya life milking the system here...i dont know anyone out of work here..never have either. we all pay into the system and they pay us back in good pensions and ofc free health care

I think it’s pretty low if Wiki is to be believed, about £1600., The benefits culture in Britain needs a massive set of reforms in order to re-shape the way society operates. You shouldn’t be able to make a lifestyle out of popping out kids and doing nowt.
And you DEFINITELY shouldn’t be able to make your way to Britain simply to follow such a lifestyle “ambition”.

Nice to you back safe and full of it Rudi. I've been so worried your finances might have taken a down turn, but everything in the garden is still rosy. The small car looks ideal to get someone on the road for the first time, he's a lucky lad.

I know if I went out today and purchased 50 grands worth of cars, in 3 years I'd be lucky if I could sell for 25 grand. This is not the way to go if you want to retire early.

Put the dosh into classic Hi-Fi, watches and vintage Scotch and motorbikes. They've all gone up big time! (if you pick the right ones) Of course that next big recession will blow the bottom out of those sort of investments.

no no we secured our future by paying off our house in 10 years flat. i dont drink smoke or go anywhere cars and motorbikes are my passion.. my bikes are still worth what i paid for them. we only buy cars that lose little value.. never ever would i put a penny into german shite...those cars loose a fortune in no time at all. 50k is nothing to us anyway..save that in 14 months lol

(if you pick the right ones) Of course that next big recession will blow the bottom out of those sort of investments. That used to be true of classic cars but the 2008 crash hardly touched them. In fact they went up because the rich realised your better off with your money in a vintage Ferrari than you are with it in stocks or sat in bank.
Scotch and hi-fi I've got no idea about, I've seen things like QUAD II amps being advertised as an investment but I'm dubious about it. Anyway I avoid all these issues by simply not having any money to invest in the first place
