I spent a few hours yesterday giving a listen to this little beast. I had an urge to try a DAC with distortion levels nearer to that of Vinyl, and hudz very kindly sent this Breeze Audio Mini USB DAC to me for experimental listening and tinkering. Unfortunately I get only modulated sound from the unit if I use the usb, so first port of call is to try and sort that out. Any suggestions? I'll throw some better pics up later and listening impressions.

Have you set your playback to 16bit? and no more than 48000hz
Even so I remember the usb to be a bit wooly, so a more recent receiver chip may be a good shout.

I have it at the moment Brian. It keeps losing lock on USB but works OK on coax input. Turns out the chip is a bitstream chip so not NOS as hoped.

K, I'm just about to whip these off a pair of Spotfire. I've gone back to fully RCA. Think they cost £50ish for the set. If you want them, chuck £30 at me and ill post them over. One of the plugs has the latching clip missing but it makes absolutely no difference here. Think these may be in the wrong thread Oli.
