Welcome Mr G have fun. I had a look at your website after your post on the Lampizator thread, some very nice gear on there. I clicked on the DIY tab on the opening page but nothing happened. Is this still a work in progress?
Cheers Andy

Welcome ! π . So ... What your favourite album by The Fall ? This question's mandatory as this is a mainly a Fall forum and without a reasonably knowledgable answer will prohibit your account to reading posts only containing the name Michael Jackson.

Hi Engine that's not an easy question as I do not listen to the fall some more than 20 years by now, TBPH. But when I look back in time and what's left on my CD shelf I would say that in the past Grotesque and Perverted by language were the ones I listened to

Yer in then. Seeing as Grotesque is one od the best records on Gods Earth. Right...you can talk about transistors and bits of wire and solder and hot things that cats try to sleep on now with this bunch of reprobates. Which means you'll probably never hear from me again. ππ Every cloud eh ?

Is this still a work in progress? Cheers Andy Txs Andy, that's very kind of you. Sadly I need to say there is still lots work to do and updates needed to keep it up to date. It became seriously complicated now, as it is build on wordpress template, which I chose to have it easy to maintain and integrate with my jazzpress blog. And which had been killed by its creators with some recent upgrades which, if installed, enforcing new ways on maintaining contests and use http only, which I am not using and not going to learn either. So I still looking for an alternative. If you know some please suggest. For all the reasons above few brands are still not present there and we are already appointed distributors for them. Brands like Woo Audio, AER loudspeakers, Diapason or our most recent addition, French AudioNec. This is really flustrating. Talking DIY. That was forced to be closed unfortunately, being killed and betrayed by brexit, which brought a currency drop to the level that it would force us to double the prices if we would like to keep it going. I decided then to close the DIY section as doing above survival scenario wouldn't be fair to our customers and diy-followers in general. It was sad choice, as I came from diy myself and I enjoyed a lot participating in horn speakers building projects. Hope that explains few things

I am always saying to my customers and friends that without a software, the hardware makes no sense and I will stick with it

Was that your Lampizator/Diapason demo I heard at the Cranage Hall show a couple of years back then? Yes, of course it was Diapason Dynamis 2 years back with Lampizator Pacific dac.All models were exposed on the side tables in the room as it was a year when we took over the brand and it was our official launch. And last year in the same Aplleton Room, we did show Dynamis again, bronze stuco finished pair, very pretty one. That year it was an official launch of the Riviera Audio Lab distribution on the amplification side and the Ideon Audio on a digital after very successful presentation of the same system in our room in Munich. You brought lots of nice memories back. Thank You. Those who like to see report from both rooms mentioned above and all other shows we did participate in, they are all available on our fb fan page G point Audio, under Events files. There are lots of photos and clips with music as well. Feel free to have a look and if you feel like that, please leave us a like to the fan page and even better, invite your audio friends to do so. This is how we operate. I am trying to maintain promotional aspect of running this business without paying audio magazines for the reviews, as 1st, with our artisan audio we don't have a budget for their overpriced offerings, 2nd on the end those spendings have to be claimed back from the end customers, meaning added to the price literally. Not everyone understands it right. So we are always paying big attention to our show appearances and quality of the parformance we are able to put together as they are speaking for us and our ability to put most decent system together, regardless the price.

It was best sound at the show for me, quite easily. Although when I mentioned that to my colleague his reply was 'Yes, you like that sort of thing don't you?' But then I couldn't have lived with his best-in-show pick for even ten minutes so I wouldn't worry about that too much

Hope that explains few things Hi Greg Thanks for the explanation, unfortunately I know nothing about web platforms or anybody that does so I can't be of any use to you I'm afraid, best of luck with it. It's a shame about the DIY business, it would be nice to be able to choose relevant components from brands that aren't the "usual suspects@ in the DIY arena. DIYers always like to try things that are a bit left field it seems! Cheers Andy
