Vinyl, can be great only when the moon is in conjunction with Uranus however its anally retentive at best, plus in a couple of years all this streaming will be bollox as well, it will music piped direct to your neo cortex no interface or playback device required.
Be seriously is this vinyl love in on here due to a certain age, growing up with it or just a piss poor experience with digital?
Or does nostalgia reign here, help those who would like to understand the back pizza obsession.

I do have lots of vinyl and 3 turntables and about 10 cartridges but I don't use them. Does that count me in or not?
I'm not an audiophile anyway I'm a hi-fi enthusiast. I like listening to music and I like hi-fi equipment just for the sake of it. The two things are not connected for me.
'Audiophile' makes me think of people who worry about mains leads, vibration control, short signal paths, and putting cables on lifters and that sort of thing. And then saying they can hear the musicians playing together better as a result. And taking subjective reviews seriously and getting properly emotionally upset when something they own gets panned.
An audiophile is obsessed and frets a lot, an enthusiast is just into it for the fun of it.
That's probably unfair/wrong but that's what springs to mind when I see that word.
