Was at the time of purchase, Hadcock's top arm. I have used this as my main arm on my 401 but just fancy a change. This is fabulous choice for most MM cartridges and with a little headshell mass, for MC carts too. Despite the guff talked about these, they're easy to set up, and once set you needn't touch them again. Everything's adjustable including VTA, Azimuth, headshell moves back and forth altering effective length too. Fine and coarse weights. Clever unipivot design which is self centring and accounts for wear. Finger lift was removed from heashell as I didn't like using it with one. Comes boxed with original box, instructions, protractor and tools needed. Great overall condition and set up and used with great care. £400, no offers please...that's a decent price for the cryo model. Photos to follow or email me for photos which would be easier.

Thanks Oli
Flat out now but will load some to my online photo account later so I can link them. It's a decent arm for any system but a but like my motorbikes, I like the occasional change to try new things.

I have sent you a pm but would like to ask the forum if the know if this arm could be mounted on a Technics 1210? Just had a scout round the internet I cant see a 1210 with one on.....but I cant see an issue other than the arm lift being quite low. It may need to be mounted flush with the top plate of the 1210 but i am sure Paul will know the arm a bit more intimately and give a better idea of compatibility

Yes, it can be mounted. There are armboards made for eh 242 specially for the Technics 1210. I had actually told you that in the PM Natara. Soundsupports.com make them £45 each. Check AoS as there's mention of 242's on the Techy there: theartofsound.net/forum/archive/index.php/t-6216-p-2.htmlWhy not just use google?

Can I ask that this classified sale thread be cleaned up please? I will answer each and every question put to me for the sale item and provide the required information. I don't want this drifting into a series of opinions by people with no experience of the 242 and by those who don't know but are speculating. I have categorically stated that there ARE armboards available for Hadcock arms and the Technics 1210 and that it DOES fit!!!
