True to my name

I am not being of a electronic techy DIY bent.

This being the case I thought it might be useful to have a thread where we could collate articles etc on techy stuff for reference to DIYers and those others interested. They don't have to be for beginners so feel free to post anything you think might be of use or interest to more technically illuminated members too!

My 1st offering - quite informative for me and well written.
