The topping D90 responds well to quality forms of re-clocking as will pretty much most dac's the Oehlbach is a good place to start and for the outlay very fair to.
One of the reasons I gave up vinyl was because of the advancements in digital audio replay. Still love vinyl but to achieve the level of replay I have from the Lumin would cost me much more not just in terms of cold hard cash but also in terms of of finding the right deck messing with it, the correct cartridge, phono stage and or SUT plus tone arm cable etc. Plus cost of vinyl the list goes on.
These days I can just hit play and I am surrounded by wonderful sounding music from multiple sources on a single control device, what's not to like?

Would one of these be any good on a Topping D90? Definitely, but don't forget you will also need an extra decent usb cable, Audioquest, Oehlback, Inakustik, Chord, and Supra spring to mind. What cable are you using now to connect your D90?

Ok. Is the D90 top of your list then? Whatever dac you use or buy I think the XXL is a good investment at £50.

Why not use the usb input to the d90, it has -10 -15db better jitter performance across the board than the spdif input?
