I don't know if they swim so much as trundle along the bottom until they find a handy slipway. Probably still some down there tangled up in old shopping trolleys and bicycles.

How can a species even contemplate invading another planet when all it can do is wallop along on supermarket standard flooring ?
We'd have fucked them off in no time.
There must be more to the propulsion of said species than we give them credit for.
Maybe they did the teleporter thing ?
