Hi everyone, would like to just say hello, I am from malaysia, this is the second forum I joined apart from pinkfish,I seldom post in forum, mainly just to read about other people experiences on certain kits.
I joined as I plan to ask a few questions regarding exposure amplifier in the exposure thread.
My first serious encountered with hifi was listening to Naim shoebox pre power driving a pair of epos es14 at a hifi shop in Bristol UK when I was a student.
My first serious kit is naim 72/90.2 I believe, all shoebox size with an epos 11, have had the 52 supercap, 135 with intro, credo, but decided to sell them all as I felt I wasn't really attracted to the music the system produce and started all over with nva ap80, peachtree idecco, Sonneteer alabaster, as I need more grip on my royd rr2, I bought a pair of exposure VIII super, with xxirc.
Rest of my system is pioneer pl71, Benz micro cartridge and phonoclone.
I feel really connected and at ease with farlowe exposure kind of signature sound, warm, prat with really good control and resolution in bass.
Mainly listen to jazz, acid jazz, R&B and soft rock like U2 and dire straits.
Cheers

Welcome Naimless, my first serious speakers were Epos ES14', partnered by the Claymore, and then 62/140 eventually moving up to 52/Supercap and 135's. I now own NVA amps. I have no experience of Exposure but I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Welcome to the Forum!
Exposure amps ay! They have quite a following here in the UK, but i am yet to hear what they do.
We love pics of the gear, so feel free to share.
Looking forward to your contributions to the forum.

Hi everyone, thanks for the warm welcome, I am definitely going to post some pictures, give me a few days to sort out the place 😀, I do need to figure out how to post pictures here as well.
I am not a Fall fan but will definitely check out their album on Spotify.
Most people I noticed do like exposure, NVA along with naim, Sonneteer is also one of the very good amp that needs to be checked out.

Welcome, nice kit. Oh dear, no valves, oh well, unlike Mr. Engine, I will not let it spoil my day.

That PL71 looks brand new, did you re-finish the plinth or was it a minter when you got it? Or have you had it from new?

Whatever the answer , it's too good for him. Luckily , I dispose of unwanted record players in a planet friendly method of jinkboard recycling. I will even pay the package and postage to Yorkshire. I can't say fairer than that , lad. Go on ... you know it makes sense. Do the right thing...think of the grandkids . Address supplied by PM .

Hiya Naimless, recognise you from PFM. Hope you enjoy AA I used Epos E14's for about 15 years and it took a lot of effort to find a suitable upgrade/replacement.

Ya, I bought in eBay US site on the advised of the late Mr. Dunn (used to owned nva ap80) and been happy with it and I send it to a local wooden door installer to do a bit of varnish and sanding, removed the transformer and put in a direct 12DC external power supply, I also changed the strobe light system to DC as well. Now well worth it.

Thanks Pauld, So far I am happy, it's a good forum, I seldom post in PF, but I do read a lot, feel some users could be quite polarised regarding certain brands, if you know what I mean 😅. I am wondering why some established brands like epos, royd could not support their legacy products with newly sourced woofers and tweeters etc. Epos is one of the most live speakers I heard and owned. Another brand is rehdeko, very lively as well
