I usually just brush my stylus with a little brush that came with a Dynavector I owned a few years back but I've been noticing some very slight degradation in sound recently so decided to buy some Audio Technica cleaning fluid as I own an AT cart which came to about a tenner inc p&p.
I'm slightly wary of alcohol based cleaners especially on the almost invisible hair like cantiliver on my cart but the results where well above expectations and well worth the effort. I used to have one of Audio Technica's electronic cleaners but never really found them to be beneficial.
So what methods do you all use?

Jewellers putty. I lower the cartridge on to thr block of putty and raise it again. Repeat several times.

I use the stylus putty method also but I am concerned how much pressure it puts on the cantilever.
The Ortofon stylus brush works well and is really their best recommendation for cleaning especially if you don't want to risk strong solvents on the diamond bonding material.

If you lower the cartridge gently, as if you were playing a record, it should be fine.

Toy shop. Get a jelly window walker toy. Cut it up. Use about an inch piece. It does the same job as a monzo sticky pad for about one twentieth the price. I've used it for years.

For me the putty issue is not the lowering but the raising and the unnatural "pull" on the cantilever at that point. May, or may not, be an issue but for anyone with expensive cartridges it's worth a thought at least. I have found that a dry brush is all I need now that I only play vinyl that has been cleaned on a RCM.

The stylus only embeds into the puttey with the tracking weight, so it can only take this amount to pull it out, rebechon isnt sticky enough to grip the stylus it's just tacky. Lift and lower slowly and it's fine.
The cantilever suspension design is typically symmetrical on two axis, so it's as strong in tension as it is compression.

Never tried the putty I've always just used a dry brush as I too use a RCM but even after cleaning records before playing I was still getting a little bit of sound degradation but just the tiniest amount of the AT cleaning fluid on the little brush inside the lid worked wonders even after cleaning the record first.
After quite a few years using ever more expensive Moving Coils this AT Moving Magnet cartridge just keeps on giving it's such an easy and enjoyable listen and this recent clean has really brought the best out of it.

+1 for the magic eraser. I’ve cut off a piece and wedged it into a small screw cap pot. Just lower into it a few times and it looks clean.

My concern with the magic eraser was that the stylus could catch easier than the putty.

I’ve never had mine catch in the magic eraser. I did try an eBay cheap version before but it was terrible. It kept breaking up and small parts crumbling away. You need to buy the proper make from the supermarket or online. I’m sure the brand I bought was a Flash magic eraser.
