Have decided to sell my Hagerman Cornet 3 which I built a few years back and it has been doing sterling service ever since and is really quite impressive and a very big step up from my previous stand in Graham Slee GramAmp2. It received rave reviews after it's launch, some of which you can read on Jim's website here: hagerman-audio-labs.myshopify.com/collections/phono-preamps/products/cornet3It's currently fitted with new manufacture Russian made Mullard ECC83s and a NOS Siemens ECC82 all of which are good. This little valve stage punches way above its weight, using a properly smoothed and filtered power supply, passive RIAA and hand selected components of close tolerance and is currently loaded for a standard 47K input configured for MM on gain. It can easily be configured for MC with the change of a few resistors and the manual will be supplied with it. It can also have changes to the MM capacitance loading effected with the change of a couple of capacitors. I have built it with the standard recommended MM values so it works well with a wide range of MM cartridges and is a big step up from cheaper inbuilt stages and from entry level stages. This can have the internals removed to a nicer chassis if you wish and it would be quite easy to do that. It currently retails for £400 inclusive of import costs (excluding shipping and handling). I would like to get £140 for this one please which is a fair price and will throw in postage. Any questions, please ask. Attachments:

Especially one that's got valves in. GLWS

Yes, uncomfortably cheap but I don't want to be greedy. These are cracking phonostages and upgradable with a little fettling.
The valves alone cost £70!

OK. How about a bargain basement £125 to clear?
If no takers then Ebay beckons and it'll likely make more on there but I'd rather someone here got it first.

The house move seems to be moving further and further into the future. The basement system survives!
