Oh dear! Karatestu has a bonkers set up and I love his approach. Made it all himself. Inspiration indeed. All the best to Stu and hopefully whatever he has going on is short lived and he can get back to boxing up his system Oliver

Stu posted this on HFS last Sunday ...
Sat in hospital for a few hours today, its bloody depressing. I must say things are looking up slightly today. My mum is 76 and has MS, dementia and can't walk. Some would say her quality of life is poor but she's my mum and i dont want her to go. Her carers have her laughing sometimes and that is the most wonderful thing to see., it really is. Last year in summer she said to me "Happy Christmas Stuart". I just went along with it. ___
An awful time, seeing a loved one slip away. Thoughts are with you, Stu.

That's got to be incredibly hard. Moms are precious arent they. Beacons of support and reassurance that shine in the darkest of times. Hope hes ok

I know how hard it can be with family members who have dementia as both my Grandmothers had the horrible disease and eventually succumbed to it as a result. Watching someone you love deteriorate in that manner is a horrible experience.
All the luck in the world to you, Stu, it is just horrible.

Losing one's Mum can be hard whenever in life it happens and even anniversaries years later of their passing come back to bite every so often as happened here last weekend
I wish Stu and his family the very best and hopes of their support for one another at this time.

My very best wishes to you Stu
I lost my father to Dementia a year ago. His anniversary was last Saturday...he was the best friend I ever had which made things massively more difficult. My mother has Alzheimers with Dementia and although still able to walk, is going downhill rapidly. Some days she has trouble remembering who I am or where she is. It is a terrible and indiscriminate disease that robs you and your family of what should be a time of close and precious sharing of your parents twighlight years, instead witnessing their slide, suffering and loss of who they were and of happier times together. Hang in there though as all time spent together as you know Stu is precious, and the best you can do is to provide comfort to your Mum no-matter where it takes her. You can tell yourself that you were there for her and did your best to make life happy for her and that matters.
