Hi all, I think my issues with gear may be cured or exacerbated here . . . better late than never.
Nice to see some familiar names!
I'm in the process of completing my first 'serious' system. I make no secret that I have the (only!) twin brother of Oliver's Neurochrome 686 amp and its the heart and soul of my system.
My favorite Quad 63's are being fully re-serviced as I type (under warranty!) with a few upgrades (I can never resist).
Tube DAC's, tube phono stages, a very much modified (by Mr Alan 'Firebottle') tube pre-amp, all feed the beast that is the 686.
A fairly well put together Sondek LP12 with a new AT OC9 cart is also a highlight.
Plenty of stuff in the pipeline as I also own a very nice 300B SET (in parallel configuration), a big Ming Da KT88 beast and some more gear all subject to change of course!!

Haha, I literally do not doubt it.
Dual power supplies ey . . . you and Alan are quite naughty . . .
Plenty of room in that 686 chassis though.
What about the pre? Anything in the pipeline as I doubt I can quite stretch to 22k . . . sorry Tony.

Thank feck there’s another OC9 fan here Yup, its only the OC9 XEN but its a really lovely sound. No doubt I'll get my hands on something further up the range sooner or later . . . I was actually "forced" into making the swap as I had a little accident with my Denon DL 304 . . . turns out the AT sounds even better on my Linn. I'd been keeping it in a drawer and almost forgot about it actually . . . I found it on Amazon for £200 brand new in box. Amazon had made a pricing mistake and quickly rectified it . . . I should have bought 10!
