Anyone going? I'll be there on Saturday, will be in the bar at 1230 if anyone wants to meet up.
Went a couple of years back and it was very good (for a hi-fi show). Beautiful venue.

Are you going to make your peace with himself there? The baby system will be on dem and if you like the way they project the sound, they can sound very clear and effective musically.

I could’ve hung around in Britain for another week and almost did. I hadn’t realised there was a big show on so soon. Not sure where it is being held. but North West would’ve been do-able. It’s been far too long since I’ve been to a show and it would’ve been great to catch up with Martin and meet new people too. Ive never met Richard in person or heard his starter system. I’m sure it will turn heads though. It’s crazy cheap and all NVA sounds good. Still, being back in Cyprus has its compensations. I have my broadband back and my Planets were here waiting for me!

I'd rather be in Cyprus too given the choice. I suppose a hi-fi show is some little compensation

Marco's started posting some and his pic of the room with ATC 150A's? in it just made me cry..., but it's unlikely anyone will post any pics of the NVA room as I'd like to see how the little system was set up and what people thought of the music making.

It always surprises me how few pics there are from events like this. There must be hundreds of forum regulars attending. If I’d gone, I would’ve taken pics in every room.

Speakers of that size and price would only interest me if I had a room of that size too.

I had a small vaguely oblong sitting room when I was single (think modern two bed end-terrace thrown up in the housing boom in 1988 just before it all crashed). The previous house owner used his Isobariks upstrairs in what was supposed to be the main bedroom and I chose to use the 100A's in corresponding position downstairs, almost into corners and close to the wall, albeit on 2" taller custom stands than the ones supplied. Totally compromised but you know what? Unlike underdamped 'porty' BBC-inspired speakers, the ATC's held the bass together (hardly anything ever came out of the ports as I believe they were there to supress the bass driver resonance rather than augment the bass as everyone else does with ports. They sounded effin' awesome and believe me, smaller speakers sounded small and insignificant in this particular room, believe me. God I thought I was the dogs danglies back then - effin twonk (some memories I'm not proud of have just surfaced).... I even measured up for the 200A's which I would have gone for at one point. The telly would have had to go upstairs but as I hardly watched it, but I wouldn't have minded. As it was, my life was turned upside down with a parental loss in early 1994, I finally met my wife sixteen months later and it was all downhill from there

This is a fledgling forum with a small readership but pics of any and all rooms and kit would be most welcome. So far I haven’t seen a lot that interests me. I was hoping to see some enthusiasts rooms with real systems. Or isn’t it that sort of Show?

Wonder if someone recorded a clip of the NVA system? S. In fact, where are the clips of any of the systems? It would be great to have some youtube uploads.

I was hoping to see some enthusiasts rooms with real systems. Or isn’t it that sort of Show? No, it's a commercial show. Entry is free though, and you get a complimentary beverage too. Apologies but I did not take any pictures. Not long after I got there I ran into Marco who had been there since early doors and he said he was photographing everything so I didn't bother. My photos always come out terrible anyway.
