As I will probably end up selling my mono blocks, I have a few pairs of E88C valves to shift as well, so I am looking for help on realistic values.
I don’t want to rip anybody off, but I don’t want to give them away either. There are also some valves left over from my pre-Kin days.
Fist up, 2 off Philips SQ E88C gold pin. They seem to be listed at £30 at “Tubes RS” where I bought them from. I have never used them, and they are unboxed. I was thinking £40 for the pair. Does that seem reasonable?
Second, a pair of Telefunken, made in ULM, on the 14th November 1963 or 1973 if the code U4113100 and have a diamon in the base, so they are genuine. The ones on eBay seem to be newer production valves, and about £10 each. I have no idea on this.
Then there are a pair of July 1982 Siemens. These are boxed. If I buy some 1990 versions, I can get them for £10 each, as long as I buy 25. Does £20 for the pair sound about right?
Then some boxed Mullard E88C. Probably about £20 the pair as well? Nothing special, but the same as Langrex are advertising.
Tungsram 1970 matched pair E88CC Red print - in plain boxes. eBay would suggest anywhere between £40 to £80. I am think the lower end would be more realistic?
1977 Reflektor 6N23P-EV matched pair - I can’t see these fetching eBay prices of about £90.
2 off Voshkod Rocket 6H23N- about £10?
I am happy to post pictures if it helps....
