i had a nine for about a week then it went back due to mis aligned tip,oliver spotted a kb in europe so i bought it. the 9 is very good value for money,if you can get a properly made one .  |

Not sure it is worth me spending cash on a better cartridge.
I have been playing with a few of my MC cartridges today, and they sound pretty good. I am not sure what 1k will get me more of, compared to my AT33PTG/II, modified DL103 and my Paratrace tipped EPC-310MC?
Sure, it may be better, but massively better?

The difference between the ART7 and the AT33PTGII was large enough to warrant the spend IMO Only issue being the 7 was a little warmer sounding. Personally, I'd go for a 7 and not look back, if your phonostage is neutral enough. I'd be surprised if you didn't hear the benefit of it |

The 7 outputs about 0.12mV. That seem ridiculously low to me. It is less than half of the AT33PTG/II.

Not too much surface noise? Not that I recall. I used the ART7 with a Tron Convergence, Firebottle Vivant and I think the OTP ONLY thing I recall was background noise being slightly more elevated but I can't recall which phonostage it was with I did do a review on AoS |
